Carcino-embryonic Antigen

Method:Latex Immunoturbidimetric                                                                                                         Liquid reagent, R1:R2=4:1

CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
It is used for dynamic monitoring of patients with malignant tumors to assist in judging the disease process or treatment effect. It cannot be used as the basis for early diagnosis or confirmation of malignant tumors, and is not used for tumor screening in the general population. Carcinoem bryonic antigen (CEA) is one of the commonly used clinical tumor markers. It has been widely used in the clinical monitoring of colorectal cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other malignant tumors. CEA is an acid glycoprotein with the characteristics of human embryonic antigen, with a molecular weight of 1.8-2KDa. CEA was first isolated from extracts of malignant tissues by Gold and Freeman, and it was expressed in adult tumor tissues (including embryonic tumors, stomach, intestine, breast and other tumor tissues) and secreted in body fluids . The serum CEA level of healthy individuals is generally less than 5ng/ml. Malignant tumors can cause a significant increase in CEA expression levels. In many non-malignant other diseases [5] (such as: liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, pancreatitis, biliary obstruction, colon polyps, emphysema, gastrointestinal inflammation, etc.) and smokers, the concentration of CEA will also increase. Dynamic monitoring of changes in serum CEA levels has very important clinical significance for the recurrence risk, metastasis risk and efficacy of colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer and other malignant tumors.

SENSITIVITY
When the sample concentration is 30.00ng/mL, the absorbance change (ΔA) should be 0.0100~0.3500.
